- VariClient software is written in Java.
- VariWeb interface is implemented with Google Web Toolkit.
- VariPDM uses PostgreSQL relational database, which is distributed with BSD licence and can thus be used free of charge.
All data communications with VariPDM can be encrypted with HTTPS or SSL.
User names can be authenticated with an LDAP-server.
